USPA signed an agreement with a shipyard in Mykolaiv for the construction of pilot boats

The USPA ordered the construction of two pilot boats for UAH 395 million from the Mykolaiv manufacturer (the Chornomorski Yachts shipyard).
The tender and the contract, signed on June 8, were published on the public procurement website Prozorro.
The Chornomorski Yachts shipyard was selected from four applicant companies, including the Nibulon shipyard, the Estonian shipyard Baltic Workboats, and the Chinese Qingdao Lawada Yacht Technology.
The company will build two new pilot boats 19 meters long and with a speed of at least 19 knots. The vessels are designed to land pilots on vessels for pilotage in the open sea, as well as for pilotage on shipping lanes.
Along with the vessels, the supplier must also train the buyer’s personnel and provide warranty service.
It should be noted that the purchase is being carried out with the help of a special fund from the state budget (EU support), which was received in accordance with the agreement on financing the event “Support for the rapid recovery of Ukraine”.
Reference. The Mykolaiv shipyard “Chornomorski Yachts” was registered in 2017 and belongs to Oleksandr and Svitlana Sahaidakov.
