The state took back the assets of the Port of Pivdennyi for UAH 65 million

The prosecutor’s office returned to the state land in the water area of the Great Ajalytsk estuary in the amount of over UAH 65 million.

The Odesa Regional Prosecutor’s Office managed to return to state ownership the land plot of the water fund with an area of 1.4612 hectares — for more than UAH 65 million. This was reported in the press service of the department.

It is about a plot of land in the water area of the Great Ajalytsky estuary. This territory is part of the “South” seaport and is part of a water body of national importance. According to the decision of the prosecutor’s office, that is why the objects in this water area should be exclusively state property.

Earlier, the Yuzhne City Council leased this plot of land for the construction of engineering and transport infrastructure.

The Economic Court of the Odesa region supported the arguments of the prosecutor’s office, recognized the decision of the Yuzhne City Council as illegal and canceled it, returning the land to the state. The Court of Appeal confirmed this decision. The prosecutor’s office proved that the site is “an object of strategic importance, which should be managed exclusively by the state represented by the Cabinet of Ministers.”

Previously, USM wrote that USPA plans to buy a vessel for the “Pivdennyi” port for more than UAH 300 million.
