The waiting time for vessels to exit the Sulina Canal has increased to 2–3 days due to the increase in the number of vessels.
This was reported by Avalon Shipping Operations Manager Kateryna Kononenko.
According to her, the main reasons for the delays remain the shortage of pilots and the lack of free anchorages in the Tulcea area.
Currently, a vessel needs about 2–3 days to pass the section and enter the open sea.
Kononenko also noted that vessels transporting livestock retain priority when exiting the canal.
Earlier, USM reported that the shallowing of the Danube complicates the supply of fuel to southern Ukraine.
