The Ukrainian Navy told how they intercept Russian Shaheds on their approach

Ukrainian sailors are among the first to “encounter” enemy suicide drones.

The Ukrainian Navy plays a key role in protecting the country from enemy attacks, being the first to encounter suicide drones launched from temporarily occupied Crimea. This was stated by the spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, Dmytro Pletenchuk.

The main task of Ukrainian sailors is to shoot down dangerous targets over the sea so that they do not reach cities and civilian infrastructure.

As Pletenchuk noted, it is especially difficult to combat such threats in Odesa, because due to the proximity of the city to the sea, any “Shahed” that breaks through can fly directly over residential areas. However, Ukrainian sailors effectively fulfill their task, protecting residents from destruction.

The forces of the Navy’s river flotilla in the Kyiv region perform no less important work. Their task is to cover the capital. By shooting down enemy drones trying to move along the Dnipro riverbed, the Ukrainian military is successfully containing the threat.

Also, recently, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy explained why the invaders’ protective barges near the Kerch Bridge are disappearing.
