The unloading of grain in the ports of Great Odesa accelerated

The process of unloading grain from wagons in the ports of Great Odesa has accelerated. At the same time, the volume of unloading fell in the port of Izmail.
Currently, the total waiting time for grain unloading in Odesa ports is 4.5 days. On the other hand, in the port of Izmail, the unloading time reaches 31.8 days, said Valery Tkachev, deputy director of the Department of Commercial Work of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”.
The rate of daily unloading of wagons with grain in the ports of Great Odesa increased from 92 kg/day to 535 kg/day. The number of wagons with Ukrainian grain heading to Odessa ports increased by 2.5 times — from 962 wagons to 2,413 wagons.
At the same time, 2,164 wagons with grain are currently moving in the direction of the Izmail port. At the same time, 68 wagons with grain were unloaded at the port over the past day. With the indicated volumes, the waiting time for unloading is 94 kg/day.
The situation in the port of Izmail remains difficult due to a significant accumulation of wagons. The shipment of grain to the port is usually planned taking into account the processing capacity of the operators. However, due to weather conditions, the operators are unloading significantly less than the planned volume, noted Tkachev.
