The US Department of State: unblocking the ports has become an extraordinary success for Ukraine

The expulsion of the Russian fleet from the western part of the Black Sea by the forces of Ukraine is an incredible achievement of Ukraine and one of its extremely important successes.

The volume of exports of grain and other goods that leave Ukraine’s Black Sea ports “is simply an incredible illustration of one of the really extremely important successes that Ukraine has achieved,” said Sonata Coulter, a representative of the State Department, Ukrinform writes.

“In general, I believe that media coverage tends to be too negative and not focused enough on the incredible achievements that Ukraine has achieved during the war. To give just one example: Russia tried to monopolize the Black Sea and cut off trade routes, and Ukraine achieved incredible success by pushing out Russian troops and making the Black Sea a stable and reliable channel for exporting goods again,” Coulter emphasized.

According to the official, the US and other Ukrainian allies are working hard to provide Ukraine with the support it needs.

USM recently wrote that Russia may launch drones into the Black Sea to mine the grain corridor.
