Moldova canceled the licensing of imports of grain and oilseeds


Licensing could be carried out for no more than 3 months. This term could be extended only once – for a maximum of 3 months.

The commission for licensing the import of grain and oil crops to Moldova stopped its work on June 24. This was reported by the Moldovan media NOI.

According to the current legislation, regulation with the help of licensing could be carried out for a period of no more than 3 months. This term could be extended only once – for a maximum of 3 months.

It should be noted that the grain import licensing mechanism was introduced for the first time on October 11, 2023. The regulation was in effect during the state of emergency until December 31, 2023.

Subsequently, this measure was applied on January 5, 2024 and extended on April 8 with a deadline of June 26. At that time, four operators received the right to import sunflower seeds.
