The US imposed sanctions against companies and ships transporting Russian oil

The United States imposed sanctions against ships and companies involved in the transportation of Russian oil.

The government imposed sanctions against a number of companies and ships that transported Russian oil at a higher price than the imposed restrictions, “Ukrinform” reports, citing a spokesperson for the US State Department.

“Today, the United States is imposing sanctions on three entities and designating three vessels as blocked property that cooperated with the Price Cap Coalition in transporting Russian crude oil that is trading above the cap,” he said in a statement released Thursday.

The current restrictions were introduced within the framework of constant monitoring of the implementation of the “price ceiling” policy.

It will be recalled that in October, the USA imposed  sanctions against Turkish shipping companies, as well as vessels that violated the “price ceiling” for Russian oil.

The sanctions concern the Turkish shipping companies Ice Pearl Navigation and Lumber Marine SA (UAE), as well as the tankers SCF Primorye (Liberian flag) and Yasa Golden Bosphorus (Marshall Islands).
