The US State Department called for the continuation of the Grain Agreement

The US State Department emphasized the need to continue the Black Sea Grain Initiative.

“There is an urgent need to expand the Black Sea Grain Initiative so that ships can enter Ukrainian ports so that more food products can reach world markets,” the State Department’s press service reported.

As Interfax-Ukraine , US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that the Russian Federation should stop using hunger as a weapon in the war with Ukraine.

“The world does not need to remind Moscow every few weeks to stop using people’s hunger as a weapon in their war against Ukraine,” he said.

Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey reported that the agreement on the operation of the “grain corridor” in the Black Sea may be extended for at least another two months.
