The USPA special fleet was involved in eliminating the consequences of shelling in the port of Chornomorsk

The work is being carried out after the Russian attack on April 26, which damaged the infrastructure of the port of Chornomorsk.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.

As of April 27, the specialized fleet of the Black Sea branch of the State Enterprise “USPA” (oil waste collection vessels), boom barriers, a Lamor skimmer for collecting pollutants, as well as specialized vehicles for pumping out pollution were involved in the work to localize and eliminate pollution.

During the UAV attack, tanks with sunflower oil were damaged, which led to its spillage on the territory of the port and in the water area.

“Immediately after the completion of the air alarm and the initial survey, specialists blocked the storm sewer to prevent further ingress of pollutants into the water and the city system. The first line of boom barriers was also installed. The port operator localized the leak by creating sand barriers around the storm network and in the directions of the spread of pollution,” the USPA noted. Earlier,

USM reported that a spill was recorded at the port of Chornomorsk after Russian shelling.
