Today russia will explain at the UN Security Council why it withdrew from the Grain Agreement
On Monday, October 31, a meeting of the UN Security Council will be held in New York at the request of russia. At the meeting, russian federation plans to explain why it withdrew from the Grain Agreement.
It is already known that the “attack” on warships of the Black Sea Fleet will be discussed at the meeting of the UN Security Council. The ships, according to russian federation, were allegedly involved in guaranteeing the safety of the sea corridor for the transportation of Ukrainian grain. This is reported by Ukrinform with reference to the secretariat of the Security Council.
The meeting will be held in the morning, after consideration of the investigation conducted by the International Civil Aviation Organization into the forced landing of the Ryanair airliner in Belarus in May 2021.
The Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN noted that Ukraine remains committed to its obligations regarding the export of grain, on the other hand, since September, russia has been looking for any excuse to disrupt the implementation of the grain agreement.
