TOP-5 importers of Ukrainian agricultural products named
In January-August, the export of agricultural products from Ukraine increased by 9.5% compared to the same period last year (up to $15 billion). Imports to Ukraine increased by 20.5% (to $4.8 billion).
The positive balance of trade in agricultural products increased by 5%, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
TOP-5 countries by the volume of imports of agricultural products from Ukraine looks like this:
- China ($2.7 billion);
- India ($1.06 billion);
- Netherlands ($1.02 billion);
- Egypt ($0.8 billion);
- Turkey ($0.6 billion).
According to USM, in January-August Ukraine exported 31.1 million tons of agricultural products by sea. Most of the cargo was shipped from the ports of Mykolaiv (34%), Chornomorsk (28%), Pivdennyi (17%) and Odesa (12%).
In the context of cargo during this period, most of all exported were corn (47%), milling wheat (21%) and barley (11%).
Most of the agricultural products were imported by sea from China (27%) and Egypt (10%).
