Trade Union calls on the world to isolate Russia in the transport sector due to strikes on ports

The of Ukraine appeals to the international community with a strong condemnation of another wave of terror by the Russian Federation.
This is stated in the organization’s letter.
The December attacks by the Russian Federation on the railway, ports and key logistics corridors led to human casualties among transport workers, large-scale destruction and destruction of food cargo. The attack on the transport system of Ukraine is a threat not only to our state, but also to the safety of passenger, humanitarian and trade transportation in Europe and the world, the Union emphasized.
In this regard, the Federation calls on the global trade union community and international organizations to take decisive action:
• condemn the systematic deliberate killings of workers; recognize the actions of the Russian Federation against Ukrainian transport workers as war crimes against working people;
• increase pressure on governments: demand urgent expansion of assistance to Ukraine with air defense means to protect transport nodes of critical infrastructure;
• completely isolate the aggressor – exclude any Russian structures from international transport associations and deprive them of the right to vote in international regulatory bodies;
• activate humanitarian support to eliminate the destruction, as well as increase assistance to the families of deceased and injured transport workers.
“The safety of workers at work must become a priority for the whole world. Terror against civilian infrastructure must be stopped by the force of international unity,” the Federation of Trade Unions noted.
Earlier, USM reported that stains and dead birds were found off the coast of Odesa: the water area of the Pivdenny port was temporarily closed.
