Turkey closed the passage through the Bosphorus due to the accident

Turkey temporarily closed the passage through the Bosphorus due to an accident involving one of the vessels heading through the strait.

On Monday, May 6, the Bosphorus strait was closed due to an accident on one of the vessels that lost its rudder, reports the Main Directorate of Coastal Security on the X network.

Traffic through the Bosphorus strait was temporarily stopped in both directions.

The rudder failed on the Brabus while it was heading from Trabzon to Bandirma. The incident happened near the northern entrance to the Bosphorus. Tugboats and a high-speed emergency rescue boat were immediately dispatched to the scene.
