UDS promises to fulfill its obligations to the shippers

Despite Russian shelling of port infrastructure and threats to civilian vessels in the Black Sea, UDS promised to fulfill all obligations to shippers.

The difficult situation on the transportation market will not affect the long-term contracts of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company (UDS) signed this year. This was stated by the Deputy General Director of the UDS, Vladyslav Belakh.

“Some foreign carriers have limited the operation of their fleet in Ukrainian Danube ports, freight rates continue to rise. We have been warning about this risk since last year. They suggested to farmers and traders not to bet only on the navy, – noted Belakh, – Those who heard us, today have the opportunity to export products. The UDS fully fulfills its obligations, this is our principled position.”

The official also emphasized that in the future the UDS will give priority to long-term contracts under market conditions.
