UDS sailors will now themselves choose the ships on which to embark on a voyage

As part of the reorganization of the fleet, PJSC “Ukrainian Danube Shipping” developed a new system of crew formation.

UDS will make the formation of crews more flexible. This was stated by the Deputy General Director of the UDS Ruslan Svitlytskyi.

From now on, fleet representatives will not be able to wait for their ship to sail, but will choose which ships to sail on.

“We are expanding opportunities for those who really want to work and earn. Because we have shipmasters who don’t even remember the last time they went on a voyage,” commented Ruslan Svitlytskyi.

Staff reduction is also planned in the process of reorganization. However, as stated, it will not affect crew members in any way.

“Absolutely everyone will receive the notification about the reorganization. This is required by the reorganization procedure. But all those who work, who have appropriate qualifications and go on flights, all stay. For them, it is just a formal transition from one organizational model to another. Everyone, as before, will receive a reservation,” the official emphasized.
