UDS signed a new contract for the transportation of air defense systems from Ukraine

The Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company has signed a new contract for the transportation of iron ore raw materials (IOR) from Ukraine.

The first caravan of this year will be sent to Serbia, consisting of the “Kapitan Antypov” and five barges. The delivery is 10 thousand tons of IOR, the UDS said.

The new contract is 30% larger than last year’s, with the possibility of increasing volumes.

The UDS said that the shipping company once worked with Danube metallurgists through a foreign intermediary. There was a joint venture in which the UDS owned a certain share. But the presence of the intermediary company was part of a scheme to accumulate profits from transportation in private accounts abroad.

Today, the UDS concludes only direct contracts, without intermediaries. And the use of a modernized fleet is a guarantee of compliance with the delivery schedule.

The environmental friendliness of the fleet is also important: reducing carbon emissions at all stages of production, including logistics, is one of the conditions for selling metallurgical products on the European market.

Recall, UDS told what prevents the company from finally breaking even.
