Ukraine and Moldova extended “transport visa-free” for a year

The Ministries of Infrastructure of Ukraine and Moldova have extended the Agreement on the Liberalization of Freight Transportation between the countries until the end of 2025.

The protocol with the decision to extend the effect of liberalization was signed following the results of the meeting of the Ukrainian-Moldovan Joint Commission on international road transport on September 13-14, the press service of the Ministry of Reconstruction reported. The agreement provides for the possibility to carry out two-way and transit transportation by road transport without special permits.

“The possibility of unhindered cargo transportation through the territory of Moldova is one of the tools for establishing and increasing our export opportunities,” commented the Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov. “We value cooperation with Moldova for the economic development of our countries.”

The previous Agreement with Moldova on the liberalization of cargo transportation was effective from August 2022.
