Ukraine can receive the first tranche of income from Russia’s frozen assets

Ukraine can receive the first part of the proceeds from the sale of Russia’s frozen assets already in July.

Brussels insists that Ukraine receive 2-3 billion euros in revenues from frozen assets this year, the Financial Times reports.

The European Commission is preparing a plan to seize profits related to sanctions. A significant part of the 200 billion euros frozen in the EU is stored in the central securities depository Euroclear.

If EU member states approve the plan, Ukraine can receive the first tranche of income from frozen Russian assets as early as July.

Initially, the money was planned to be allocated for the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. But recently the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, called to use the money for military support of Ukraine.

Over a million FPV drones or 150 “SeaBaby” drones? Such a question would be asked by Ukrainians if our state received funds from the sale of luxurious yachts of Russian oligarchs.

But the ships are still idle in Western ports, and taxpayers pay for the maintenance of the expensive ships. However, you have to believe in the best. Therefore, USM prepared a detailed description of Russian yachts, and also calculated what these funds could be spent for.
