Ukraine exported almost 50 million tons of grain in the current season

The volume of export of agricultural products since the beginning of the current marketing year exceeds the indicators for the same period last year.

As of June 21, since the beginning of the 2023/24 MY, Ukraine exported 49.54 million tons of grain and leguminous crops. This is reported by “APK-Inform”.

Of this volume, 2.608 million tons were shipped in June. At the same time, as of June 26 last year, the total figure of shipments was 48.424 million tons, of which 3.087 million tons were shipped in June.

In terms of crops, since the beginning of 2023/24 MY exported:

• corn — 28.416 million tons (in June — 1.37 million tons);

• wheat — 18.123 million tons (686 thousand tons);

• barley — 2.461 million tons (75 thousand tons);

• rye — 1.6 thousand tons.

The volume of Ukrainian flour exports as of June 21 is significantly lower than last year’s figure (151 thousand tons) and amounts to 96.7 thousand tons (in June – 4.2 thousand tons).

As USM wrote the day before, Odesa should become the main grain hub.
