Ukraine imposes sanctions against companies servicing the Russian tanker fleet

The President of Ukraine has signed a decree on the introduction of sanctions against companies that service the Russian tanker fleet and transport oil.

This was reported by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Telegram.

According to him, the synchronization of sanctions with the European Union continues.

“I have signed a decree on the introduction of sanctions against companies that service the Russian tanker fleet and transport sanctioned oil. There are also new sanctions against Kremlin propagandists and criminals involved in cyberattacks against Ukraine and our partners. We are countering all attempts by the Russian regime to destabilize the situation in Ukraine,” the President of Ukraine said.

Also last week, the European Union synchronized Ukrainian sanctions against six Russian propagandists in its jurisdiction. In particular, work is underway on the 20th EU sanctions package, which may be adopted at the end of February.

USM previously reported that in the US, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee approved a bipartisan bill that would introduce tougher penalties for sanctioned vessels carrying Russian oil.
