Ukraine is increasing trade with the EU
Ukrainian exports to the EU have grown significantly in ten months.
In January-October, Ukraine sent 63% of all exports to EU countries, which is 7.3% more than in 2021. The Office for the Development of Entrepreneurship and Export reports this on Facebook.
The growth was due to the increase in exports to the countries of Central and Eastern Europe – Poland, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Bulgaria. On the other hand, exports to the countries of Western Europe fell significantly. In particular, to Germany – by 20%, to the Netherlands – by 26%, and to Italy – by as much as 52%.
Exports to other regions also decreased.
The volume of supplies to Asia decreased to 57%, while in March-October, Ukraine sent about a third of its pre-war exports to Asia. Turkey and China became the largest trade partners of the region (more than 54% of export supplies).
Exports of Ukraine to the CIS countries decreased to 64%. Moldova became a key partner of the region – the share of this country during March-October increased to almost 60%.
A reduction in exports (up to 55%) also occurred to African countries. Egypt, Algeria and Libya became Ukraine’s largest trade partners. These countries receive almost 62% of total exports to the region.
Exports to American countries decreased by 67%. The key trading partner is the USA (71% of export supplies to the region).
