Ukraine opened the first agrohub on the African continent

Ukraine has opened the first agrohub on the African continent — in the Republic of Ghana.
As part of the Food from Ukraine initiative, the Food Processing and Distribution Center has been put into operation, said Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.
The agrohub was created by Ukrainian agribusiness in cooperation with the government of Ghana as a result of agreements reached during the Food from Ukraine conference in November 2025. According to Svyrydenko, this is a new format of our presence in the world, when humanitarian support is combined with the development of partnership and the local economy.
Ukrainian products will be combined with local products, food kits will be formed and their distribution will be ensured. The next stage is the development of processing, packaging and portioning directly in Ghana.
The first kits have already included locally produced rice and pasta made in Ghana from Ukrainian flour.
“During the opening, 4,000 food kits were handed over to the most vulnerable segments of the population, Ghanaian widows. We consider Ghana as an important partner in West Africa for humanitarian support and trade development on the west coast of the African continent. We are ready to share our expertise, technologies and experience in increasing yields to jointly strengthen global food security,” the Prime Minister wrote.
Earlier, USM reported that Kenya received the first batch of food within the framework of Food from Ukraine.
