Ukraine, Romania and Moldova are strengthening cooperation in the Black Sea
Ukraine, Moldova and Romania agreed to strengthen defense measures in the Black Sea. In particular, the parties plan to jointly patrol the waters of the sea.
Yesterday, April 13, the Black Sea Security Conference was held in Bucharest. Defense ministers of Ukraine, Romania and Moldova agreed on economic and defense cooperation in the Black Sea. The parties also recognized the Black Sea as strategically important for the whole of Europe.
From now on, the security conference should be held regularly. Black Sea countries focus on security challenges in the Black and Azov Sea basins.
First of all, we are talking about the joint measures for demining the Black Sea. The participants also offer to jointly patrol the Black Sea water area. In addition, plans to ensure the permanent presence of the NATO fleet in the mentioned region are being discussed.
