Ukraine sent more than 21 million tons of food through the “grain corridor”.


Since the implementation of the Istanbul Agreements, more than 21 million tons of agricultural products have been shipped from the ports of Great Odesa.

From August 1, 2022, Ukraine sent 21.043 million tons of products through the “grain corridor”. This is reported on the UN website.

Almost half of the shipped cargoes are corn (47%). The share of wheat in shipments is 29%, sunflower oil and meal — 5% each, other cargoes — 14%.

Ukraine sent the largest amount of products to China (4.2 million tons), Spain (3.8 million tons), Turkey (2.4 million tons), the Netherlands (1.2 million tons) and Egypt (724.7 thousand tons) ).

In particular, on February 12, four vessels departed from the ports of Great Odesa. Argo 1, which will deliver 31,000 tons of corn to Spain, and Basel Athena — with 18,500 tons of wheat to Turkey, left the port of Chornomorsk.

54,200 tons of wheat were sent from the Port of Pivdennyi to Sri Lanka on the Ocean GLSR vessel, and 7,200 tons of sunflower oil on the Plevne vessel from the port of Odesa to Turkey.
