In September, a public discussion of the roadmap for the domestic agricultural sector to join the European Union will begin in Ukraine.
During the discussion with representatives of the Ukrainian agricultural sector, the land reclamation reform was also discussed, the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council reports.
Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine Taras Vysotsky stressed that a public discussion of the roadmap for the agricultural sector to join the EU will begin in September.
“Together, we will defend Ukraine’s interests to the maximum extent on this path,” the Deputy Minister emphasized.
He also confirmed the political will to complete the land reclamation reform. The draft law on the creation of state operators has been prepared and may be adopted in its entirety in the fall. As of today, water user associations (WUAs) remain a priority.
A number of initiatives are also planned in the field of land use and deregulation of the agricultural sector, improvement of state agricultural insurance, etc.
“Despite the limited budget, a number of state support programs will continue to operate. Among them: compensation for costs of construction and reconstruction of livestock complexes, restoration of the greenhouse support program, payment of assistance per hectare to affected farms from September, etc.,” said Taras Vysotsky.
