Ukraine will receive two surface drones from Germany
During last week, Germany handed over two surface unmanned aerial vehicles to Ukraine.
Surface drones are vessels that operate without the presence of a crew. They are usually used for remote demining, but now they may be needed for reconnaissance, monitoring and transportation.
Ukraine received two such drones from Germany, according to the website of the German government. Germany plans to transfer eight more such drones to Ukraine.
It is currently unknown which drones Ukraine will receive from Germany.
Earlier, Ukraine confirmed the receipt of the first German air defense system IRIS-T.
The ground-based air defense system IRIS-T SLM is considered one of the most advanced air defense systems, which is not even in service with the Bundeswehr (armed forces of Germany).
