Ukrainian-Bulgarian CCI is established

Yesterday, on November 3rd, the establishing meeting of the Ukrainian-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, founded by the Ukrainian CCI, took place.

Ivan Plachkov was elected the Head of the Chamber.

“The Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry appriciates very much the relationship with our key partner in South-Eastern Europe. We see the need for business in both countries to strengthen business ties and systemic support. To support the positive trends set by the entrepreneurs of our countries, we have created the Ukrainian-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry today,” commented the President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Gennady Chizhikov.

According to forecasts, in 2021 the volume of foreign trade between Ukraine and Bulgaria will exceed the record of $1 billion.

The main focus of the Ukrainian-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry should be activities to intensify and deepen business relations between Ukraine and the Republic of Bulgaria (economic summits, business forums, business missions, research of current markets, search for partners, etc.).

The Ukrainian-Bulgarian CCI will act on the basis of voluntariness and equality of its participants; it is opened to new members and is interested in mutually beneficial partnerships with other organizations and institutions.

According to Stark Shipping, for 9 months of this year, the indicator of sea exports from Ukraine to Bulgaria amounted to 713.1 thousand tons of cargo. The lion’s share of this volume is steel products and construction materials.

We will remind that recently the President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Gennady Chizhikov and the Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration Serhii Grinevetskiy signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The agreement provides for cooperation in foreign trade and in attracting foreign investment to the region’s economy.
