Ukrainian farmers threshed 26 million tons of grain
In Ukraine, by mid-September, farmers harvested 26 million tons of grain and leguminous crops.
“As of mid-September, grain and leguminous crops were harvested on an area of 6,770,000 hectares (61%) with a yield of 3.84 tons/ha, and 26 million tons of grain were threshed,” the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reports.

In particular, they have already collected:
- 19.2 million tons of wheat with a yield of 4.10 tons/hectare from 4.7 million hectares (99% of cultivated areas);
- 5.5 million tons of barley with a yield of 3.47 tons/ha. from 6 million hectares (100% of the area);
- 250.7 thousand tons of peas with a yield of 2.29 tons/ha from 109.4 thousand hectares (98% of the area).
Farmers also collected: grain corn — 63.7 thousand tons (yield 5.23 t/ha) from 12.2 thousand ha (0.3% of the sown area), buckwheat — 58.5 thousand tons (yield 1, 44 t/ha) from 40.5 thousand ha (34% of the area) and millet — 58.6 thousand t (yield 2.27 t/ha) from 25.9 thousand ha (58%).
Harvesting of sunflowers and soybeans is still ongoing. So far, 924,000 tons of sunflower seeds and 172,000 tons of soybeans have been threshed.
