Ukrzaliznytsia fixes a new rate for grain trucks

From February 1, wagons will be transferred to a fixed rate of 2,000 UAH/day.
From February 1, the branch of Ukrzaliznytsia JSC will transfer the main fleet of grain trucks to a fixed rate of 2,000 UAH/day. This is reported by Elevatorist. Also, “CTL” will refuse to sell access through auctions in “Prozorro.Prodazh”. The decision was made after two unsuccessful attempts to sell large-caliber grain trucks through the ETS. The first auction failed due to the lack of bids, and no one took part in the second.
On fixed terms, CTL will offer about 3.5 thousand wagons. If demand exceeds the ability to provide loading and transportation, the company will return to the mechanics of English auctions.
The rate of 2,000 UAH/day was formed taking into account the average market rent (~1,200 UAH/day) and estimated speeds: 255 km/day for route shipments and 158 km/day for wagon-type shipments. The fixed price does not apply to 120 large-capacity grain trucks – they will continue to be put up for auction.
The day before, USM wrote that in January, Ukrzaliznytsia exported over 2 million tons of grain.
