Ukrzaliznytsia will offer a 30% discount on transportation to the Danube Port
JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” does not plan to provide a 30% discount on the transportation of agricultural products to the Danube ports.
This became known at the meeting of the Export Office at Ukrzaliznytsia on July 12, reports Rail.insider.
According to Andrii Miroshnikov, deputy director of the Department of Transportation Technology and Commercial Work of the UZ, when granting discounts on transportation, the company is guided by the relevant Cabinet resolutions. The government clearly defines the sources of compensation for such costs.
Miroshnikov noted that there will be a discount on transportation to the Izmail and Reni stations if the Cabinet of Ministers makes the appropriate decision and determines the sources of covering costs.
Valeriy Tkachev, deputy director of the Department of Transportation Technology and Commercial Work of the University of Ukraine, added that the 30% discount does not compensate for the difference between the price of transportation of agricultural products to ports on the Black Sea and the Danube.
USM previously reported that the UDP supports the proposal of agricultural producers, who appealed to the Cabinet of Ministers to create equal conditions for the ports of Odesa and the Danube.
