USPA launches DocPort system at Pivdennyi port

Currently, testing of the first stage of the platform is underway in the seaport of Pivdennyi.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.

The end result should be the creation of a Single Maritime Window — a multi-module system, the implementation of which is taking place in stages. By the end of the summer, it is planned to launch the following modules, which will cover almost the entire range of administrative procedures in Ukrainian ports.

“The launch of the DocPort maritime module is one of the key KPIs of the USPA team. Currently, testing of the first stage of the platform is underway in the port of Pivdenny. By the end of the summer, it is planned to launch the following modules, which will cover almost the entire range of administrative procedures in Ukrainian ports. We are working in parallel in two directions: on the one hand, we are launching the technical functionality and adjusting it to the real needs of the market; on the other, work is underway on the implementation of mechanisms provided for by European legislation and harmonization of digital procedures with international standards,” said the head of the USPA, Oleksandr Semyrha.

In particular, the USPA recalled that the Maritime Single Window system is a digital platform that integrates all administrative procedures related to the processing of vessels in the port.

The creation of a national Maritime Single Window is a direct requirement of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), which from 2024 obliges all port states to provide a digital platform for exchanging information on vessel calls.

The main advantages of implementing MSW:

• reduction of vessel delays in ports by 3-6 hours;

• full digitalization of document flow;

• minimization of risks of errors and corruption;

• reduction of logistics costs;

• integration into European maritime logistics.

It should be noted that after successful testing, the system will be scaled to all seaports of Ukraine.

As previously reported by USM, after successful implementation in the ports of Reni, Izmail and Chornomorsk, at the end of May the system became available in the port of Odesa.
