USPA will be able to direct part of the funds to repair ports instead of taxes
At a meeting on Friday, October 13, the Cabinet of Ministers reduced the rate of deductions to the budget of the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority” and state port operators.
Thus, in 2023-2025, USPA and state stevedores will be able to deduct 30% of net profit from the budget, if 50% of the income is directed to the repair and modernization of the port infrastructure.
As the permanent representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk, said, the funds of the port authority can be directed to the construction of hydrotechnical facilities and other port infrastructure facilities located within seaports.
This also includes the construction of hydrotechnical structures on the Danube River. Funds should also be directed to the restoration of port infrastructure facilities damaged and/or destroyed as a result of Russian aggression. Operations with the fleet (repair, construction, modernization) are also included in the list.
