UZ calls for increased transit to the Danube ports
Ukrzaliznytsia insists on increasing the volume of grain shipments to the ports of Reni, Giurgiulesti and Galati through the territory of Moldova.
JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” urged shippers of agricultural products to increase transit in the direction of the ports of Reni, Giurgiulesti and Galatsi. This was reported by the deputy director of the department of commercial work of UZ Valery Tkachev, reports UkrAgroConsult.
The official reminded that since July 15, the railway of Moldova introduced discounts for transit in the direction of the ports. They plan to calculate them at the end of the month. If the minimum volume of transportation is sufficient, the freight forwarder must reduce the fee for the shipper.
In order for the business to be able to monitor the availability of the discount, the UZ will periodically inform the participants of the agricultural market about how much was transported in transit through the territory of Moldova.
Soon, the commission of “Ukrzaliznytsia” plans to inspect the available capacities in the ports and agree on the coordination of further work with the terminals, added Tkachev.
