UZ changes rates for using wagons: for grain carriers — up to 8 thousand UAH per day

Ukrzaliznytsia has published a new version of the contract on the organization of freight transportation, which comes into force on October 1.
Along with it, the company established rates for the use of the carrier’s own wagons for October and published their size from November 1.
The document was published on September 29, and the changes come into force from October 1, 2026.
In particular, UZ approved the actual rates of payment for the use of the carrier’s own wagons on the 1520 mm track for the period from October 1 to 31, inclusive. The published table also lists the rates that should be in effect from November 1.
For grain carriers, the rate in October will be 3,371 UAH per wagon-day excluding VAT, and from November 1 – 8,000 UAH.
For cement trucks, the fee will increase from UAH 1,697 in October to UAH 4,900 from November, and for mineral trucks – from UAH 1,488 to UAH 4,900, respectively.
The rates for fitting platforms will also change. In October, the use of a 40-foot platform will cost UAH 2,300 per car-day, 60 feet – UAH 2,650, and 80 feet – UAH 3,000. From November 1, the rate for all three categories will be UAH 4,100.
For tanks intended for the transportation of food products, the rate will change from UAH 1,720 to UAH 5,000 per car-day.
At the same time, the changes will be less significant for certain types of specialized cars. In particular, for tanks with a gauge of 1,435 mm, the rate will be UAH 6,300 in October and UAH 6,500 from November.
All rates are quoted excluding VAT per wagon-day.Earlier, USM reported that transit of Ukrainian grain via Moldovan railways could reach 4.5 million tons per year.
