UZ limited the number of wagons in the direction of the port of Izmail

The average queue of wagons to the port of Izmail is about 30 days. The longest waiting time for the unloading of wagons reaches 115 days.

“Ukrzaliznytsia” introduced a limit on the loading of wagons to the Izmail port from August 7. This decision is connected with a long line of wagons in the direction of the port. This was reported by Valery Tkachev, deputy director of the commercial work department of Ukrzaliznytsia JSC, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

So, as of August 9, 7,671 wagons were moving in the direction of Izmail. Of this number, there are 2,490 wagons with grain, with an average daily unloading of wagons at the port of about 280-300 wagons per day.

“It’s a very difficult situation… we don’t agree on plans to load wagons to the port for those recipients who have a waiting list of more than 30 days. We see how many wagons move to the address of each consignee, how many wagons he unloads in relation to each other. If the waiting time for unloading is more than 30 days, we will not coordinate these loading plans,” Tkachev commented.

According to UZ, the average queue at port stations on Monday was 28 days. Moreover, the longest queue at the port of Izmaila reached 115 days.

“Ukrzaliznytsia” urges recipients in the Izmail port to increase the acceptance of cargoes as much as possible, speeding up unloading and not allowing queues of more than 30 days. Freight owners were asked to use the open data of UZ regarding the accumulation of wagons and contact consignors with shorter queues.

Restrictions apply to all stations located in SE “IZM MTP” – both domestic and export.
