UZ published the January rate for wagons: most rolling stock will

Grain trucks remain unchanged, but some types of wagons received a moderate increase in rates.

Ukrzaliznytsia has published January prices for the use of its own rolling stock. This is reported by Elevatorist.

The rate for the use of grain trucks of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia in January 2026 is 1,250 UAH/day excluding VAT, as in December.

At the same time, cement trucks converted into gondola cars will increase by 100 UAH – to 703 UAH/day. Gondola cars will also increase in price by 100 UAH – to 1,450 UAH/day.

Food tanks – plus 200 UAH, to 938 UAH/day. Flour wagons remain at 550 UAH/day. The data is published on the company’s website.

For cargo owners, this means maintaining the basic economy for grain exports against the backdrop of complex port logistics, but increasing daily costs for part of the auxiliary fleet (gondola cars, food tanks, converted cement tankers), which should be taken into account when planning winter shipments and fleet rotation.

USM previously wrote that strikes on the ports of the Odesa region are slowing down shipments and increasing the logistics costs of grain producers.
