UZ subsidiary delivers rental goods from the port of Constanta to Ukraine

UZ Cargo Poland carried out a complex transportation of “rolled sheet” cargo from the port of Constanta to the Perechyn station in a direct connection.
As the company reported, 60-foot-long fitting platforms with a wooden floor were sent to the Constanta station, converted from 1520 mm gauge trucks to 1435 mm gauge trucks.
Sending such platforms for transportation allowed to significantly reduce the total cost of transportation, because the rolled steel was not reloaded on the Romania-Ukraine border, and therefore there were no costs for unfastening the cargo and re-fastening the cargo on the platforms after reloading using new fastening means.
In addition, changing the trucks under loaded wagons takes only a few hours, which is much faster than reloading from wagon to wagon.
Earlier, USM reported that a subsidiary of UZ is launching a route between the cities of Ukraine and the Polish port of Gdansk.
