Wheat prices rose by 100–150 UAH/t in the ports of Great Odesa

Prices were supported by the increase in grain prices on a FOB basis, more active demand, restraining sales by farmers, and the weakening of the hryvnia against the dollar.

Wheat prices increased in the ports of Great Odesa on a CPT-port basis this week. This is reported by APK-Inform.

As of March 11, 2026, traders’ prices for grade 2 wheat most often amounted to UAH 10,600–11,000/t CPT-port. This is UAH 100–150/t higher than at the end of last week.

In dollar terms, demand prices also increased — mainly to USD 215–225/t CPT-port.

According to analysts, the main supporting factors were the increase in wheat prices on a FOB basis, increased demand from traders, and restraining sales by farmers. The market was also affected by the devaluation of the national currency against the US dollar.

At the same time, APK-Inform notes that some export-oriented companies declared lower prices. This is explained by the fact that they did not have the urgent need to form grain batches to fulfill already concluded contracts.

Also, as USM wrote the day before, the Bureau of Economic Security stopped an attempt to export 28 thousand tons of corn through the Odesa port.
