Zelenskyy: in a month, Ukraine transported 4 million tons of grain through Romania and Bulgaria
During the first month of operation of the parallel “grain corridor”, which runs overland through Romania and Bulgaria, Ukraine transported 4 million tons of grain.
After the restoration of the “grain corridor” by land, Ukraine can provide African countries with a sufficient amount of grain, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
In particular, he reported that Ukraine transported 4 million tons of grain during the first month of operation of the parallel “grain corridor” that runs overland through Romania and Bulgaria.
“Yes, a little longer, there are difficulties, but we reached the same volume,” the President noted.
He also stated that Ukraine is ready to supply the same volume of grain to Africa as it was during the operation of the sea “grain corridor”. Zelenskyy noted that Russia was unable to block the supply of Ukrainian grain, because Ukraine quickly organized a parallel “grain corridor”.
“We have built several parallel railway tracks and we now have a Romanian route. Therefore, I think we will be able to provide African countries with a sufficient amount of grain,” he said.
In addition, the President noted that the Ukrainian military began “to restore order in the Black Sea”, and the number of Russian ships attacking Ukrainian civilian space and infrastructure is decreasing.
