Zelenskyy signed a law on administrative responsibility for overloading trucks
Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the law “On Amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses of Ukraine regarding certain issues of the implementation of dimensional and weight control.” Earlier, the law was adopted in the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine.
According to the press service of the Office of President, the law provides for fines for drivers who incorrectly indicated the weight or dimensions of the cargo. Also, those drivers who will not stop at the request of representatives of Ukrtranssecurity will also be fined.
Administrative liability is provided for offenses that were recorded using a photo or video recording, including in automatic mode.
As reported in the Office of the President, the purpose of the law is to prevent the destruction of roads and improve road safety.
