Mykolaiv engineers are working on the development of a new CSOV vessel

Engineers of Mykolaiv PKB MDEM participate in the development of a new CSOV (Commissioning Service Operation Vessels) project.

The Elevation series of these vessels will be built by 2025 at the Damen Long Shipyard (Vietnam) by order of Windcat Offshore, a leading European company specializing in the commissioning and maintenance of marine energy installations, “Mykolaiv — City of Shipbuilders” reports.

CSOV Elevation vessels are designed for the delivery of personnel and materials to marine offshore (offshore) facilities and support operations for the adjustment and commissioning of equipment on these platforms. The vessel can stay at the work site at sea for up to 30 days and provide the functions of a floating hotel for 120 workers and technicians.

CSOV Elevation is also equipped with a hydrogen engine to minimize CO2 emissions into the air.

The ships are equipped with four thrusters that increase maneuverability, a rocking stabilization device, a helicopter pad, and a boat dock.

General characteristics of vessels of the CSOV Elevation project: maximum length – 89 m, maximum width – 19.7 m, draft – 5.3 m, gross capacity – 6700 tons.
