Together with the EU, Ukraine plans to create a coordinating group for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products.
Ukraine and the EU agreed to jointly solve problematic issues surrounding Ukrainian agricultural exports. For this purpose, it is proposed to create a coordination group. This became known at a joint briefing of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, writes Latifundist.
“The urgent priority now is to ensure that the import of grain continues continuously and at the lowest possible costs. This requires close cooperation of various parties. We will create a coordination platform to make the ‘ways of solidarity’ fully effective,” said Ursula von der Leyen.
It will be recalled that on May 2, the European Commission approved temporary restrictions on the import of certain agricultural products from Ukraine. Precautionary measures apply to Ukrainian wheat, corn, rapeseed and sunflower seeds. They are aimed at eliminating the logistical problems associated with these goods in Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia.
