More than 100 hydrotechnical structures in the Kherson region were flooded after the terrorist attack


As a result of Russian detonation of the Kakhovska HPP, 107 hydrotechnical structures were flooded and completely destroyed.

“On the left bank of the Kherson region, as a result of the explosion of the Kakhovska HPP, 107 hydrotechnical structures of the State Agency for Land Reclamation and Fisheries of Ukraine were flooded and completely destroyed,” the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reported.

The estimated amount of damages due to the destruction of these hydrotechnical structures is UAH 127.6 million.

Thus, in the village of Stara Zbur’ivka, Skadovskyi district, 460.9 hectares of growing, wintering and feeding ponds (16 objects) worth UAH 3.4 million were flooded.

In the city of Oleshki, there are 253.5 hectares of breeding and wintering ponds (75 objects) worth UAH 109 million under water.

Another 330.1 hectares (16 objects) with a total cost of UAH 15.2 million were flooded in the village. Solontsi, Kherson district.

According to preliminary estimates, some hydrotechnical structures cannot be restored. Final conclusions can be drawn after the water level on the left bank of the Kherson region stabilizes.

As previously reported by USM, Ukrhydroenergo plans to build an overlap in the upper part of the Kakhovskyi reservoir after deoccupation.
