Ukraine plans to transfer the Izmail and Odesa ports to a concession
The Ukrainian government is developing a concession project for the ports of Izmail, Odesa and Chornomorsk.
The State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine announced the concession of three ports in Odesa. We are talking about Izmail, Odesa and Black Sea ports. The tenders should be held in 2024, the department said.
So, the port of Odesa is planning to transfer the passenger terminal into a concession. Powers are estimated at 52.6 million dollars. According to preliminary data, the concession project provides for the transfer of:
• yacht complex with a total area of 15,500 square meters. m and with a capacity of 86 vessels,
• marine gallery with an area of 23,600 square meters. m and the ability to receive 1 million passengers per year,
• open areas with an area of 4,000 square meters. m
• a concert and exhibition hall with 1,000 seats and a total area of 4,970 square meters. m.
In the port of Chornomorska, they plan to transfer the first container terminal and the ferry complex into a concession. The project is estimated at 48-160 million dollars.
USM recently wrote that at least 5 large companies are interested in the Black Sea Port concession.
