Odesa port received equipment from Japan for the restoration of port infrastructure
SE “USPA” received construction machinery from the Japan International Cooperation Agency.
The Odesa branch of the state-owned enterprise received two backhoe loaders, USPA reported.
The equipment was transferred within the framework of the agreement between the governments of Ukraine and Japan on technical cooperation and grant assistance.
The head of USPA, Yuriy Lytvyn, said that the transferred construction equipment will allow the Odesa branch to restore and reconstruct the port infrastructure.
The agreement between the governments of Ukraine and Japan on technical cooperation and grant assistance was ratified on July 1, 2004. The emergency recovery and reconstruction project is implemented with the financial assistance of the Government of Japan through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Previously, USM reported that USPA received from the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) specialized equipment for the elimination of pollution in the water areas of seaports of Ukraine.
