The UDS building will be restored after the Russian attack on Odesa Region

The administrative building of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company will be restored after the recent Russian attack on the port infrastructure of the Danube ports.

On August 2, the Russians attacked Izmail. Among other objects (mortar station, elevators) the administrative building of the UDS was damaged. The glass facade was significantly damaged, the company reported .

The consequences of the attack of Russian drones on the Danube ports were discussed last week during a visit to Izmail by representatives of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Transport and Infrastructure headed by Yurii Kisel.

Currently, the process of assessing the damage is ongoing, and ways of recovery are being determined.

UDS has found a place to temporarily place the staff, the enterprise is working. However, reconstruction is a complex and long process. For the normal operation of the apparatus during this time, it is necessary to carry out reconstruction of some other buildings and premises of the company.

The UDS announced that they will reconstruct the building with their own funds. Steam shipping is counting, if only, on the assistance of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada regarding the introduction of changes in the financial plan.
