Kuleba: The grain agreement should be restored, but not on the terms of the Russian Federation
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine commented on the meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The Black Sea Grain Initiative should resume work, but not as a result of blackmail and fulfillment of Russia’s whims. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, “Interfax-Ukraine” reports.
“If we make concessions to them at the moment, they (Ed. – Russians) will return. A month later, they will come out again and make new demands. And third, in parallel with the fact that Russia cannot be trusted, it is necessary to develop alternative sea corridors to the Black Sea Grain Initiative. What Ukraine is doing successfully, and you know about the ships that have already left,” said Kuleba.
Commenting on the functioning of the temporary corridor, the minister noted the need to strengthen security measures in the Black Sea.
“We have already shown that it works. More and more countries are showing interest in helping us organize this corridor on a stable basis,” said the head of the MFA.
