Over 120 million tons of grain transported via Ukrainian maritime corridor, — Kuleba

Over 205 million tons of cargo have already been transported through the Ukrainian maritime corridor, of which over 120 million tons are grain.

This was stated by the Minister for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba at a meeting with the Minister of Infrastructure of Poland Dariusz Klimczak.

“Today, Ukraine is the guarantor of global food security. Despite constant Russian attacks, Ukrainian ports continue to operate and develop. Since the start of the sea corridor, over 205 million tons of cargo have already been transported, of which over 120 million tons are grain. We are ready for partnership in concession projects, port infrastructure has become one of the key areas of the URC-2026 Infrastructure Platform,” the minister noted.

Among the practical issues discussed by Kuleba and Klimczak was the situation on the Ukrainian-Polish border, in particular, the long registration of buses at checkpoints and insufficient capacity, which increases waiting times for passengers.

They also discussed the functioning of the SENT system for registering shipments through Poland and the need to resolve the issue of unjustified fines.

The focus of the conversation was the continuation of the “transport visa-free regime”, the development of railway connections and the implementation of joint infrastructure projects with the support of the European Union.

Earlier, USM reported that at URC 2026 they presented a concession for a ferry terminal in the port of Chornomorsk.
