Russia took the surface missile carrier “Cyclone” to combat duty in the Black Sea.

The enemy surface missile carrier “Cyclone”, equipped with 8 “Kalibr” missiles, appeared on combat duty in the sea, said Serhiy Bratchuk, the spokesman of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army – South, the head of the People’s Council under Odesa Regional Military Administration.

Reference: “Cyclone” is a small missile ship of project 22800 “Karakurt”. This is a series of Russian multi-purpose small missile and artillery ships of the 3rd rank with guided missile weapons of the near sea zone. According to another classification, these are small corvettes.

“Cyclone” is the first missile carrier that the Black Sea Fleet of Russia received after the sinking of the cruiser “Moskva”.

For the first time, Russia launched the newest ship “Cyclone” into the Black Sea at the end of August. According to the Ukrainian military, the ship has not yet passed the tests.
